Tradealike: Platform for Collective Success

Tradealike is a mobile platform for folks seeking trade setups from other successful traders who like to publish their trading ideas via quick and easy to use mobile app. However, like everything else…these is an evolution story and sequence of unplanned steps that got us here.

The Start:

It all started when Talib & I used to exchange stock trading ideas every night during our phonic conversation. Sometimes we would base our analysis on technical studies of price & volume charts, and on few occasions it was fundamentals of a company that attracted us. Few months into the activity, we started a web and an e-mail based options alert service. Folks who signed up to the monthly subscription, received e-mail based alerts. The sign-up process was slow. Communication between members and us was not timely. Also a lot of times people held back because they did not like committing themselves to a recurring monthly subscription. Honestly speaking, I would to.

Moreover, the nature of e-mail based communication caused delays in getting into a trade, and restricted user’s ability to buy/sell an option within couple of minutes of issuing an alert. Also as market would take an unexpected turn and you post few red trades, subscriber rate would drop.
